E-STATEMENTS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


  • What is E-Statements?

    E-Statements is a service provided by the Institution for Savings to allow you to view your monthly statements electronically through our website. E-Statements replace your paper statements. They include all the same information your paper statement does, including your check images.
    The benefits to E-Statements are terrific!
    • Secure.Like our Internet Banking, E-Statements utilizes the highest level, state-of-the- art security measures and your E-Statements are encrypted with the password you chose when you enrolled in Internet Banking. As always, we strongly suggest that you protect that password and do not share it.
    • Fast.E-Statement notices are delivered directly to the email address you provide us with as soon as your statement is ready for viewing. No waiting for the mail.
    • Convenient.Once you access your statement, you can then print and/or store it on your PC or a CD for convenient storage. Or you can download it using one of several financial management software programs, such as Quicken.
    • Free!There is no cost to enroll in E-Statements.

  • How do I begin receiving E-Statements?

    In order to receive E-Statements you need to complete the online E-Statement Enrollment Form and be enrolled and active in our Internet Banking service. After you submit the Enrollment Form to us, you will receive a Confirmation Email from us notifying you that your enrollment has been completed. Then, once a month, you'll receive a courtesy email letting you know that your statement is ready and available for viewing. To access your statement, go to our website (www.institutionforsavings.com), log on to Internet Banking, click on the E-Statement link and choose the appropriate account. It's that simple!

  • How long will it take to set up my E-Statement service?

    Once we receive your reply to our Confirmation Email, your E-Statement service for the requested account(s) will be set up within 3 business days. You will begin receiving E-Statements the next time you are scheduled to receive a statement on your account(s).

  • What accounts are eligible for E-Statements?

    Once you complete your E-Statement Enrollment Form, your E-Statement service for the requested account(s) will be set up within 3 business days. You will begin receiving E-Statements the next time you are scheduled to receive a statement on your account(s).

  • How do I access my E-Statements?

  • What are my E-Statements access requirements?

    To access your E-Statements, you need either Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.04 or higher or Netscape version 4.0 or higher to serve as your browser. In addition, you may need Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or higher, or a TIFF viewer, to view your documents. A link is available on our E-Statements Welcome page once your enrollment is completed.

  • How do I view my statement?

    When you click your account number, your current statement is displayed in your browser. Additionally, your past two statements are available in the column to your right.

    If you need a PDF viewer, you will see a window asking whether you would like to download a file or save it to disk. Cancel the window and install Acrobat Reader to view your statement. To install a free PDF viewer, select the link on your welcome page or open http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html in your browser and follow the instructions to download and install Acrobat Reader.

  • How do I print my E-Statements document?

    If you have a printer, you can print your E-Statements document directly from your browser.

  • Can I save the PDF attachment of my statement on my computer or a disk?

    Yes, in fact, we recommend that you save your monthly statements on either your computer or a disk so you can easily retrieve them in the future. (Your E-Statements are only available from our website for three months.) To save a copy of your electronic statement, open your PDF document then choose "File" then "Save As" from your Acrobat menu and specify where you want the document saved on your computer or disk. Be sure to save your E-Statement using the .PDF extension and select a name that will help you remember which statement the file contains (example: IFSChecking.) Or, if you prefer, you can print a hardcopy of the PDF document for your records.

  • Can I have E-Statement delivery for more than one account?

    Yes. You can choose electronic delivery for all your eligible accounts when you complete the E-Statement Enrollment Form. Once you have completed the enrollment process, you can add accounts for electronic delivery by emailing us at e-statements@ifs-nbpt.com.

  • Will my statement cut off date change?

    No, each account will continue to have the same statement cycle date. You will receive a separate email notification when your statement is available to view.

  • If I have more than one account for electronic delivery do I get all E-Statements at the same time?

    You will receive a separate email notification for each account when your statement is available to view.

  • Can I get all my E-Statement notifications in one email?

    No. Each account will receive a separate email notification.

  • Do I have to be an Internet Banking customer to receive E-Statements?

    Yes, you do have to be enrolled and active in Internet Banking in order to receive E-Statements.

  • When will I receive my E-Statement?

    Once a month, you'll receive a courtesy email letting you know that your statement is ready and available for viewing. To access your statement, go to our website (www.institutionforsavings.com), log on to Internet Banking, click on the E-Statement link and choose the appropriate account. You will receive notification that your E-Statement is available to view the day after your statement is cut.

  • Will my E-Statement have the same information as the paper statement I previously received?

    Yes, your E-Statement will contain all the same information as the paper statement you were previously mailed including your check images and any important notices from the Institution for Savings.

  • What if I can't access my E-Statement?

    If you have problems accessing your E-Statement please contact our Deposit Services at 978-462-3106 or e-statements@ifs-nbpt.com.

  • What if I don't receive an E-Statement when expected?

    We monitor the E-Statement delivery system for any possible delivery issues so that your E-Statement service is not interrupted. If you do not receive your E-Statement when it is normally sent, please check to be sure your email mailbox is not full and that your email address has not changed. You should also make sure that the email address we use to send your E-Statement notification doesn't block certain emails as SPAM.

  • How do I change my email address, and email delivery options?

    It is very important that we have a current email address for you so that we can continue to notify you when your statements are ready and keep you updated about important product information. To change your email information, click on the Email and Description link on your E-Statements welcome page, edit your email address and select "Change." You can also choose whether your wish to be notified by email when your statements are ready for viewing.

  • Is my statement information secure with E-Statements?

    We take every possible means to ensure that our products and services meet the highest level of security commercially available. To provide the highest level of security, your E-Statements are encrypted with the password you chose when you enrolled in Internet Banking. As always, we strongly suggest that you protect that password and do not share it. Our online forms require using a browser that supports 128-bit encryption. Please note that if you use a computer other than your home/business computer (such as a remote computer) to check your email and open attachments, this may result in a temporary file being created and stored on that remote computer. We recommend only using your personal computer to open E-Statements sent to your email account.

  • Will I continue to receive paper statements once my E-Statement service is set up?

    No, once you have completed the enrollment process for E-Statements, paper statements are no longer produced for your account(s).
