2 Depot Square Ipswich Charitable Foundation
In December of 2005, Ipswich Co-operative Bank established the 2 Depot Square Ipswich Charitable Foundation with an initial contribution of $200,000. Charitable giving has been a cornerstone of the Bank's business philosophy for many years. The Foundation plays a vital role in supporting economic development and improving the quality of life in the communities that it serves. The establishment of the Foundation guarantees charitable funds to local organizations for future generations to come.
The Foundation focuses its giving in the following areas:
Economic and Community Empowerment
This includes programs which focus on the promotion and development of access to safe and affordable housing, and environmental programs which support community revitalization efforts.
This includes initiatives that support youth through social, public education, athletic or cultural programs.
Arts & Culture
This includes programs and organizations that provide art and cultural programs that enrich our communities.
Health and Human Services
This includes programs and organizations that strive to enhance the health and well-being of children, families, and senior citizens in our communities.
Through the Grant Committee, the Foundation awards funds to non-profit organizations based in Ipswich, Rowley, Topsfield, Middleton, Salem, Boxford, Hamilton and the surrounding communities. Applications for grants will only be accepted from qualified 501(c)3 or 501(c)1 organizations.
