Upcoming Federal Reserve Wire Format Changes

Upcoming Federal Reserve Wire Format Changes

With upcoming wire format changes required by the Federal Reserve taking effect on July 14, 2025, there are a few important steps you’ll need to take to ensure uninterrupted service.

What’s Changing?

Beginning July 14, 2025, all wire transfers will need to be entered using the ISO 20022 format that is being adopted by the Federal Reserve to align with global standards.

What You Need to Do

If You Use Wire Templates:

Please print or save any existing wire templates you may need access to in the future. After Friday, July 11th, existing templates will no longer be accessible.

  • Wire transfers must be submitted by 3:00 PM on Friday, July 11th to ensure processing under the current format.

Starting July 14, 2025:

  • All wire transfers will need to be entered using the new format. You will continue to access wire entry in the same location within Online Banking; however, some field names and terminology will be updated.

We appreciate your attention as we transition to this enhanced format. If you have any questions, please send a secure message through Online Banking.
